Interested in discovering the fascinating world of natural dyeing? I offer engaging demonstrations that explore the history of natural dyes and how plants, fruits, and other natural materials can be used to colour wool in beautiful and unexpected ways.
Demonstrations and presentations can be tailored to suit a variety of groups, including Guilds, Women’s Institutes, schools, and other educational or community settings.
What to Expect:
- Sessions range from 1 to 3 hours to suit your requirements
- Hands-on experience preparing wool for dyeing
- Creating dye vats using commonly foraged plants
- Exploring how modifiers can alter and expand the colour palette
- All equipment and materials are provided
Access to electricity and running water is helpful, but not essential.
